Albert is a consultant in the index business field where he develops new indexes, index-linked products, marketing and sales campaigns, business development programs and event planning for clients. His clients have included BitaData, AllIndex, 2ndVote Advisors, Sydney Futures Exchange, Calvert Group, INDXX, Euromoney/Institutional Investor, Cantor Fitzgerald, FTSE, KLD Research & Analytics, Nasdaq, Renaissance Capital Management, Dow Jones Indexes, STOXX, IHS Global, Cryptoworld, Fidelity Investments and Vestek Systems.
Previously, Albert served as chief investment officer for SGQR, Inc., a financial technology firm, where he provided leadership and guidance on risk managed, alternative weighted portfolio solutions. He also led SGQR’s business development efforts in the public fund and institutional investment management markets.
Prior to SGQR, Albert was a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch, based in the Kingston, New York branch office. He specialized in institutional and high net worth accounts. His practice focus was risk management and asset allocation executed with low-cost index-linked solutions.
Albert is the former Executive Director of the Index Business Association, a trade group representing the global index, indexing and index products industry. The Index Business Association was an independently operated unit of Information Management Network (IMN), a division of Euromoney/Institutional Investor. Albert also was Director of Business Development, Information Management Network, where he was responsible for relationship management in the public retirement system sector. Other responsibilities included the creation and implementation of new conference programs and the development of innovative educational solutions for public retirement plans.
Mr. Neubert is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on index development and maintenance protocols. Mr. Neubert has authored articles on index-related topics for publication in financial periodicals and books, including “Professional Perspectives on Indexing,” “Index Design and Implications for Index Tracking,” and “Indexing for Maximum Investment Results.” He holds Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars. Mr. Neubert is also a guest lecturer at the State University at Albany, New York and the Military Academy at West Point. Mr. Neubert holds a BA in Finance from Pace University and an MBA from New York University.
