Sharon Davis

 Sharon Davis-Edwards, President of S.J. Edwards, Inc., a Merrick based company she founded in 2005 has more than 30 years of experience in Insurance, Financial Services and Employee Benefits. Since starting her career in 1980 she has held numerous sales, recruiting and management positions with John Hancock, Aetna, VOYA Financial, E.G. Bowman, Inc., and Benefits Planning Corporation.

Sharon helps corporations design Employee Benefit plans and helps qualify businesses for the government-funded Employee Retention Tax Credit. Sharon and her team are known for their long-term relationships with many clients, who appreciate their honesty, integrity, and quality customer service. Her motto is “We don’t have clients, we have friends”. She holds licenses in life insurance, health insurance and FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63. Sharon has been acknowledged for her work by 100 Black Men of Long Island, TD Bank, The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, and Long Island Power Women in Business. She has been interviewed by Long Island Business News, Newsday and is in the Hall of Fame for the Top 50 Most Influential Women on Long Island. She has appeared on Channel 7’s “Here and Now” with Sandra Bookman and currently serves as a board member of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce. Her passion is to give back by mentoring and supporting new businesses and entrepreneurs. She truly believes that “When you help others you help yourself”.
